Good to know before you sail off.

How rough is the crossing?

It's open water for ± 60 minutes, and mornings are usually calmer. The boat has a stabiliser that cuts down the rolling, but it isn't always a flat-calm ride. Every morning our captain observes the conditions to guarantee your safety.

I get seasick. Should I still book?

Plenty of guests who get seasick do this trip. Take something an hour before we sail, sit toward the middle of the boat, and stay outside in the air. We carry a seasickness kit on board.

Is there shade on the island?

Only what we bring. Klein Curaçao is uninhabited, there are a couple of ruined shelters and nothing else. We set up shade at the anchorage and the boat's lounge is covered.

Are there toilets?

On the boat, yes. On the island, no. Nothing on Klein Curaçao is maintained.

What should we bring?

Swimwear, a hat and your own reef-safe sunscreen, and a layer for the crossing back. Towels and snorkel gear are on board.

What if the weather cancels the trip?

The captain calls it on the morning. You reschedule to any open date or take a full refund, your choice, not ours.

What are the cancellation and deposit terms?

50% confirms your date and the balance is due 48 hours before departure. Free cancellation for any reason up to 7 days before your trip, with a full refund; less than 7 days before, no refund. If the captain cancels for weather you reschedule or take a full refund, never a voucher.
